G'day,

My 2004 SP23 has had a loud whineing noise at a very high freqency predominately when driving at 70km/hr.

I had the Mechanic look at it on the hoist and he first said that there was allot of vibration on the RH drive shaft bearing and a little noise comming fromt he RH wheel hub.

When he took the intermediate shaft and support bearing out It felt fine spinning it with his hands but the rh wheel hub felt not so good, so we are both uncertain which one is at fault

Aparently the Intermediate shaft and bearing cost $1400 and can only get it genuine, or a quote of about $350 to take the drive shaft assembly to a specialist to get the bearing fixed.

The quote to change the wheel hub was $470 fitted as the part cost about $360 apparently.

Has any one had this problem with their car or have any info.

If I choose the wrong part to change then replacing both will cost a grand......not cool.

Gosh parts are expensive for this car.

Love driving it tho.
