I would just like advise other BT50 owners of the unbelievable problems I have had with my 2011 BT50 2x4 Boss Freestyle brakes and service from the Maxda service department.
At 1000kls I advised the service centre that there was a problem with the brakes. The right hand rear wheel would lock up.
After they completed the 1000klm service they said there was nothing wrong with the brakes.
At 2500klms brake fluid started pouring out the right hand rear. They finally came and took the ute to their workshop while trying to tell me that it might not be covered by warranty.
When I went back to pick up the ute on their advise that it would be ready of course it wasn't. Three time they did this.
Then beleive it or not when I finally picked up the ute it was parked in their yard with the motor running. The super service manage said "They must have known you were coming"
We I got home the ute wouldn't start it had a flat battery. So they took it way and tried to charge it over the weekend, when all they had to do was replace it, which they eventually had to do.
I'm not sure if these so called service people are vert qualified.
The BT50 has now done 9000klms and the brakes are stuff again. RACQ have ginen me written a report stating the repairs to recitfy the brake ploblem were not undertaken correctly and the ute is now
un-road
worthy
So I guess I will have to get the ute towed there again and go through the same bullshit as last time.
Have your ute seviced at Mazda no way.
Buy a BT50 No Way.

Damn! that is some bad luck you've had! There are some dodgy operators out there, they have no idea of good customer service. Touch wood my old 07 model is going ok, try another mazda service centre and complain to them about the other mob, they might help you? But you might have to complain to the guys in a higher level of the business to get their attention, put it in writting. Good luck!

I have found the brakes on mine to be very good, and that includes towing a large heavy caravan.
I'll put a plug in here for Essendon Mazda at Airport West in Victoria. I have had great service from them.
Long way for you to get a tow though!

Well when you come to Brisbane you had better stay clear of Centenary Mazda.
I had to take the ute to Ultru Tune to get it fixed.
Hows that for Mazda service?

Sorry, but I am putting very little weight behind your argument or reasoning..

I don't doubt there could be issues but I find it unlikely that a caryard would take shortcuts with the braking system.. that is an easy way to get into a world of hurt..

Having said that, I hope you get the probs fixed..
